Choosing Hunting Binoculars

It’s hard to track game if you can’t see it. Therefore, one of the most important accessories for hunters is a good pair of binoculars.

While there are literally thousands of different models of binoculars on the market, not all are suitable for hunting. Most are not rugged enough for the woods, marsh or field. Many are not suitable for low-light conditions. Some are too powerful, and others not powerful enough.

Here are some factors you should consider when choosing hunting binoculars.

Binocular Construction:

Hunting is a rugged sport that puts demands on your equipment, including your binoculars.

Hannah asked:

Is the Nikon Monarch ATB 10×42 Binoculars better than the MINOX BL 10×42 BR?

Reply:

I doubt that one could find significant differences between the two other than price although I have not tried either one. I have however used Nikon Premiere 8×42 for several years, an outstanding pair.

What are the best binoculars for watching people?

Tristan asked:

Specially a person. I would be about 300 ft from person. I would also be high in a tree. I would like the binoculars to show a clear picture even though there may be open blinds, or transparent curtains in the way of the person. Also this may be at night. There will be light around the person I am watching. It is important that I see very small details with the binoculars?

Reply:

Wow you seem to be very specific about what you require, as with any technology you get what you pay for and what you are asking for is quite a lot in my opinion.

Night Vision Binoculars Ratings

Having the ability to see in darkness has many benefits. The safety applications are the ones that most spring to mind, and therefore the tactical price of night vision is established. Night vision binoculars are a fixture in military operations where stealth or night security is required. These wonders of technology give humans the capability of vision in low-light or even complete darkness, depending on the technology.Humans do have night vision, even tho very poor night vision. Simply, it is a trade-off between color vision, and light-intensity vision. Night vision binoculars use different technologies to grant humans this critical capability. There are 2 general methods of achieving night vision, and they are to dilate the range of detectable “light” or to intensify what is there. True to the trade-off, many of these devices display images in one color or false color representations.

No, it’s not a monocle. You hold those with your eye and there is only one lens.

A Brief Review On Zeiss Binoculars

As we all know binoculars are one of the most amazing things invented by man and there are many things to keep in mind when you think of buying a pair of binoculars. If you observe carefully there are numbers written after the binoculars name, those numbers are very important. The number that you see in the first is the amount of magnification the binocular has. The second number that you see is the size of the optical lens. For example if you see a binocular with the numbers 8X40 it means the binocular has a magnification of eight times and a lens size of 40mm. Although you can see objects that are far away, binocular that have the magnification greater than ten starts to loose its image quality.
