Chloe asked:
Is the Nikon ProStaff 550 or the Nikon 440 rangefinder a better choice for deer hunting (either in Mississippi or South Texas)
Reply:
I had never used a rangefinder until last year. I was on a new lease and did not want to mess up my chances of coming back by blowing a shot so I bought the best binoculars I could find(already have online pharmacy prescription a great scope) and I broke down and bought a "cheapo" Bushnell rangefinder. I can't remember the model number, but it was the least expensive in the lineup. It worked wonderfully. Every yardage it gave out to 440 yards was verified with my friend's more expensive model. He was so impressed by it that he bought one for his dad. They go for about $150.

Blake asked:
Can i see the rings of saturn with a 10x binoculars?
Reply:
At our Astronomy Association, we make sure members help beginners, and one of those things we help beginners with is Binocular Astronomy. As much as we shop drugs have tried, the rings of Saturn cannot be clearly defined in 10x Binocs and we test this regularly.
They are only just starting to show in 20x80's, and quite obvious (but very small) in 30x80's and 30x100's.
You can get a reasonable quality telescope at cheap prices these days (from a telescope shop, not a supermarket) which will show you the whole planet and its rings up close.
