I would keep WD40 away from the lenses of the Binoculars. Try those armor-all wipes, the "Original Protectant" ones not the cleaner or any of the other hundreds of variations they sell. You can also try to contact the manufacturer to see what they recommend. I`d go with the armor all. If you had to go with the WD40 I`d spray it onto a rag then rub it in, keeping it away from the lens.

You want to stay active but not over-exert yourself. You also want to avoid taking a HOT shower, as this will relax your muscles, and it will be harder to get them up to par again. Wear sweats to keep your body and muscles warm, because being cold can cause them to tighten up- which can then lead to charlie horses and cramps.

Drink lots of water to keep your muscles well hydrated, and eat a good sized portion of a high fiber/protein meal 2 hours before your meet.

Something that I liked to do before a meet was turn on my favorite tunes and dance around my house on my tip-toes. It worked my calves, but didn't wear them out. It also helped to get me pumped up for the meet. Good Luck.

I know that in field trial nothing is camo and it's just used to show how much your dog knows. In a hunting test it's supposed to feel like the real thing to the dog everythings camo.
