Bird watchers trekked through the snow to get a glimpse of birds in their natural environment at the Pekin Park District’s Winter Bird Watch on Saturday. Tom Lerczak, a nature preserves specialist with the Illinois Nature Preserves Commission, led the event, which started at Soldwedel Program Center and included a hike into McNaughton Park.
