Samuel asked:

I am wondering, if anyone has ever tried to use a telescope/binocular optics to enhance the range on their digital camera, and if so, was it successful? Camera I have has a view screen with SLR. and 10x viewer.

Mostly digital cameras are used with telescopes. There are special attachments that are available to attach the camera to the eyepiece of the telescope. Swarovski is the only company that I know of that makes an attachment to attach a camera to their binoculars. The reason you need to attach the camera is to make sure it is steady while you bring everything into focus. You will also need a tripod to hold everything steady. Once you have all of that the results are reasonably good, but not so great as you would get with a $11,000 800 mm Canon telephoto lens. Birders just love that lens and the less expensive ones too.
