Question by *Kylie*: What brand of binoculars are good but not overly expensive?
I want to get someone a set of binoculars for christmas, he uses them for hunting. I only want to spend about 50 dollars on them, anyone have any advice about brand or type or something? I'm thinking either Gander Mountain or Fleet Farm?

The cheapest pair at Wal-Mart will be just fine. In recent years the difference between the very best and the worse as really diminished. Tasco is always a good bet.

Question by Patton: Binoculars question, best brand for hunting?
I need a good pair of binoculars for hunting. I am going elk hunting so they really have to be good with long distances. I really am on a limited budget, so please nothing over 60 dollars. Any ideas???
the reason is beacause i cleared out my budget on a $ 224 and a lot of other stuff. I might be able to reach $ 100, but that is a big if.

60.00 and good binos is not possible. Leupold or Nikon 10x42 are great for hunting. I hear vortex is not bad. Look through them at Cabela's or similar store and see whats good.
